Overview

YT Rec Block is an iOS Safari extension that hides YouTube recommendation surfaces and the LinkedIn and Facebook home feeds in Safari.

Data Collection

YT Rec Block does not sell or rent personal data. It stores simple progress counters on the device, such as the number of supported feeds blocked and the days on which blocking occurred.

If you choose to submit feedback, the selected experience rating, optional note, app version, build number, and submission time are sent to the developer and stored in a private Google Sheet. Do not include sensitive personal information in the optional note.

Browsing Data

The extension runs locally in Safari on YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook pages. It uses page content only on your device to hide selected feed and recommendation areas. Progress counters do not include visited URLs, searches, page content, or account information. Browsing activity and progress counters are not sent to the developer or to any server operated by the developer.

Analytics and Advertising

YT Rec Block does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or third-party data collection tools.

Optional feedback submissions are processed by Vercel and Google solely to deliver and store the feedback.

YT Rec Block does not require an account.
